Prayer request for 'Briley"

Last week I had the privilege to meet a little girl; we will call her "Briley". She is a 3 year old little girl that happens to be my wife's 3rd cousin twice removed, or however that works. She is a relative of my wife. She is an absolutely ADORABLE little girl, and she is very special.

"Briley" was born with only half of a heart. Don't ask me how that happens or how it works, because I do not have a clue. I do know that she had 2 open heart surgeries. After 1 of the surgeries she suffered a stroke. She was left paralyzed on the right side of her body. She is able to walk by 'dragging' her leg behind her. She has very little to no use of her right arm, but she does not let this hinder her. She loves to wrestle with her older brothers, and she LOVES to ride in the go-carts with anyone that will take her. She giggles the whole time and wants you to always go faster!

Spending the few days with this girl both melted my heart and broke it. When she comes up to you and wraps her good arm around you and lays her head on your lap, or when she raises her arm up for you to pick her up, you can't help but do what ever she wants. You want so badly to do whatever you can to make life easy for her, but deep down you know that she will never be able to adapt if everyone did everything for her. It is very heartbreaking to see her lose her balance and not be able to catch herself or stop the fall. I saw her do several face plants in the short time with her. Luckily it was in the grass or on carpet, so it did not scrape up her face. She did, however, fall over backwards on the hard ground several times. It then takes her a little bit to get herself back up.

Talking to her family, they told me that the doctors do not have much hope of her ever being 'normal'. She has to have electro-therapy and Botox injections among other things, just trying to improve her mobility in both extremities. Hearing this caused me to want to pray for this girl every chance I got. I know that with God's help her chances of living a normal life with full range of motion, increase dramatically. That is where each of you come in.

The Bible talks about the power of prayer. Jesus says in the 11th chapter of Luke to "...ask and you will receive, knock and the door will be opened." He also says in the book of John chapter 14 verse 14 "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." There are many, many more verses, but the last one I want to give is Matthew 18:19-20: Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

That is the purpose of this post, and this whole page for that matter. I want to lift this little girl up in prayer, and I want to get as many people as possible to pray for her. I want to try to get thousands if not millions of people to gather before our Creator and ask Him to heal this precious little girl.

I ask that each and every one of you that read this to pray for this little girl. At the bottom is a short prayer that you can recite, or you can add/take away anything you want. The important thing is that you go before the Lord and ask for His healing power to be poured out onto this wonderful girl. I have created an e-mail address for those of you that want to be put on a mailing list for updates and other requests for people that I get. I will also be posting on here as I get new information and/or requests. Also if you would please, leave any words of encouragement or just your name, because I hope that the families will also get to read these and be blessed by the many people from around the world that are thinking about and praying for them.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. Please pass this on to anyone and everyone you know or think might be interested in this. Also, if you have a request or need, either leave it on here or e-mail at matt_18_prayer_chain@hotmail.com. Take care and be blessed!

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. I ask you that you please heal 'Briley' (don't worry He knows who you are praying for). I ask that you restore her use in both her arm and leg. I also ask that you heal her heart. I pray for a total transformation in this little girl and that she can grow up lead a normal, healthy, active, life. Also Lord, please bless her entire family emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Let them feel your presence and see your glory. Once again in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
